Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I contacted the Vermex as wasn’t sure what these little tiny insects were in our house, and kept seeing more and more! Sent a photo to them, they identified what they thought it was and very kindly advised on how to get rid. All for free! Excellent company 🙂 thank you .

Protecting North Yorkshire Businesses from Pest Threats

Pest problems in commercial settings are not just an inconvenience – they carry real risk. A single report of rodents in a food preparation area can trigger an environmental health inspection. An uncontrolled wasp nest in a hospitality venue can close a terrace at the height of summer. Pest activity in a warehouse or logistics facility puts stock at risk and can violate supply chain compliance requirements.

North Yorkshire’s mix of rural agricultural land, historic tourism towns, and active hospitality sector creates specific and varied pest pressures throughout the year. We at VermEx understand this landscape.

We work with farms, hotels, restaurants, schools, healthcare providers, and commercial premises of all sizes – providing the kind of thorough, documented pest management that protects your business, your staff, and your reputation.

Commercial Pest Control Services We Cover

VermEx provides a full range of commercial pest control treatments and preventative services to businesses across North Yorkshire. All treatments are carried out by trained, insured technicians operating under BPCA guidelines.

Rodent Control

Rats and mice are the most reported commercial pest problem across North Yorkshire – particularly in the agricultural belt around Northallerton, Thirsk, and Skipton, and in the food and hospitality sector in Harrogate and York.

VermEx provides targeted baiting, trapping, and full proofing surveys to identify and close the entry points that keep bringing them back.

Insect Control

From wasp nest removal to cockroach treatments, fly control systems to bed bug treatments in hotels and student accommodation – our insect control work covers the full range of commercial insect problems.

We carry out discreet treatments with minimal disruption to your operations.

Bird Management & Pigeon Proofing

North Yorkshire’s historic town centres – York, Harrogate, Scarborough, Whitby – present specific challenges when it comes to feral pigeons and pest bird species.

VermEx installs discreet proofing systems including netting, wire, and spikes across commercial buildings, car parks, and heritage structures, protecting your premises from fouling, structural damage, and the health risks associated with bird droppings.

Sectors We Serve Across North Yorkshire

We work with a wide range of commercial clients across the region. Sectors we regularly serve include:

Hospitality and hotels – including seasonal tourism businesses in Scarborough, Whitby, and Harrogate
Food production and retail – HACCP-compliant pest management for food-grade environments
Farming and agricultural businesses – rural rodent control and proofing across the North Yorkshire Moors and Dales
Schools and educational facilities – safe, scheduled treatments during out-of-hours periods
Healthcare and care homes – discreet, compliant pest management for regulated environments
Warehousing and industrial premises – rodent and bird control for logistics and manufacturing facilities

Pest Control Accreditations & Standards

VermEx holds membership of the British Pest Control Association (BPCA) and is both SafeContractor-approved and CHAS-accredited.

These are not box-ticking exercises – they reflect the standards we hold ourselves to on every job, for every client. When you instruct VermEx, you are working with a pest control business that operates to the highest professional standards in the industry.

Commercial Pest Control in North Yorkshire - Your Questions Answered

How much does commercial pest control cost in North Yorkshire?

Commercial pest control costs vary depending on the pest type, the size of the premises, and whether you require a one-off treatment or an ongoing contract. VermEx provides transparent, itemised quotes following a site survey – there are no call-out fees buried in small print. Contact us below for a free quote specific to your premises and pest problem.

Do I need a pest control contract for my business?

It depends on your sector and your obligations. Food businesses, healthcare facilities, and any commercial premises regulated under food safety or environmental health legislation will typically require documented, scheduled pest management. A contract provides exactly that – regular inspections, treatment records, and a clear audit trail. For businesses outside regulated sectors, a contract still makes sense if pest pressure is ongoing or seasonal. VermEx offers both one-off and contract arrangements.

How quickly can VermEx respond to a commercial pest problem in North Yorkshire?

We aim to respond to urgent commercial callouts within 24 hours across North Yorkshire. For scheduled contract visits, we work to agreed timetables that fit around your operations. Call us directly for urgent situations.

What pests do you cover for commercial clients in North Yorkshire?

VermEx covers the full range of commercial pest problems – rats, mice, cockroaches, wasps, flies, bed bugs, ants, feral pigeons, and other pest bird species. If you have a pest problem that is not listed here, contact us – our team will advise on whether it falls within scope.
